Devilskin is a renowned New Zealand alternative heavy metal band which rose to fame with their first album called We Rise that debuted at No. 1 on the RIANZ charts. The album was incredibly certified gold within the first two weeks. This band has class, guts, confidence and a huge fan base.

In fact, Devilskin represents the total of an accomplished and determined group of talented musicians who understand what they really want; the music is dynamic, organic and real.

Together, the band can compose songs that have passion and depth. They come up with a powerful and compelling sound and perform a spectacular and explosive live show.

Quick Start Guide Devilskin:

Devilskin is a famous four-piece metal band from Hamilton New Zealand founded in June 2010. The band has quickly acquired a reputation for participating in high-energy performances with the blistering sets that are sonically compelling and exciting, leading to mesmerizing rock concerts.

The band members comprise of Paul Martin on the Bass Guitar, Nail on the Lead Guitar, Jennie Skulander on the Vocals, and Nic Martin on the Drums. In their own league, the band composes melodic songs layered with power, passion, and soul.

However, what sets the Devilskin apart from rest isn’t the striking beauty of Jennie Skulander nor her pin-up informed wardrobe, it’s her enchanting vocals.

Skulander’s staggering voice sweeps from the whisper to roar, drips with melody rips with power, and enchants with sincerity. That is why striking voice can often be heard over heavy metal riffage and pounding drums delivered by her band mates.

At times, during the heavier moments of Hamilton rocker, Jennie will grasp sponges soaked in the thick red dye and complete a track by pressing them out above her and producing a paint-stripping death growl. Today, Jennie is just THE best female rock vocalist in New Zealand.

The band delivers on all levels with Nail on lead guitar, and bassist Paul Martin is the red-bearded evil twins. They excite with powerful, aggressive bass coupled with the intense guitar riffs.

Perhaps, joining a family business might look like a mind-numbing prospect for some teenagers. However, what if the business is a world-touring metal rock band 🙂

Nic Martin is the son of the bassist, Paul. At age 15, Nic was requested to stand in on the drums at a particular gig for his father, Paul Martin. But today, he is a full-time member of the Devilskin, who have gone from one level of strength to another since the release of their No.1 best-selling album; We Rise in 2014. Nic’s driving beat and spectacular drumming lay the grounds for a gig to be remembered.
